Design Pattern Print
I have always had an interest in Surface Pattern Design, loving the beautiful and bold fabrics and wallpapers you can adorn your homes in. Therefore for this project, I decided I would add my visions to this area, and create my own patterns for interiors. Taking inspiration from everywhere, and utilising my love of texture, colour, and mark making: I set myself loose.

LILY - 2017
Inspired by my mother's favourite flower, that isn't seen printed enough on fabrics and wallpapers. A bold and colourful pattern with a light or dark background. This could also work with singular coloured Lillies, for a more monochromatic outcome.

Dash - 2017
Here I went for a painterly approach to my pattern making. Keeping it to a geometric approach instead of a more fluid organic way, I produced this colourful pattern, full of the texture used to create it, with the drips of paint to give it life, and that human touch.

Experimenting with colourways and shifts in the background colour. From a white to a light cream colour.
Circle - 2017
No collection is complete without a pattern dedicated to just one shape. Here I chose the fluid circle, to compliment the watercolours and inks I was using. This kind of pattern can work well at a small or large scale, depending on its usage.

Floral Palette - 2017
This abstract floral pattern was created with a piece of paper I was using as a paint palette. I scanned this in, edited it on photoshop and created this floral-inspired pattern, which shows the painterly texture and brush strokes I love.
